The Security Analyst will perform all aspects of managing day to day activities around NISPOM security and facilities programs for Intelsat US LLC. The AFSO steers the company's personnel, facilities, operations, information, and communications security activities especially with regard to classified projects for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, special access programs, or other special customer programs. This role is responsible for implementing and administering all company security policies, procedures, and functions to assure compliance with applicable laws, government regulations, customer requirements and company policies. The AFSO also supports internal customers as needed in developing innovative solutions to address the company's business needs. In addition, the AFSO oversees the maintenance, repair, support, upgrade, configuration, and security of the company's offices and facilities. The Security Analyst will also serve as the Insider Threat Officer and be responsible of overseeing this program.
What you will do:

  • Performs security tasks as indicated by the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), by various Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs) and by guidelines issued by other government agencies.
  • Maintains the administration and safeguarding of classified information for Intelsat, ensuring compliance with all appropriate protocols, investigating security incidents, and resolving any security issues.
  • Maintains the company's SCI security program and SCIF functions.
  • Provides guidance and support to GS's security team, to include remote Security personnel at remote company facilities.
  • Provides necessary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and customer program security offices should FSO not be available.
  • Assists with oversight of security programs related to company personnel, including programs to obtain new security clearances and renew existing ones.
  • Executes the company's FOCI implementing procedures and acts as a deputy to GS's Board of Managers and Government Security Committee (GS) on compliance with these procedures in the absence of the FSO.
  • Participates with the company's Deputy Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian, conducting regular audits and semi-annual inventories, and maintaining the Distributed Information Security (INFOSEC) Accounting Systems.
  • Experience and certifications to be supportive of the company's Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) a significant plus.


You will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain (DISS/NBIS) database and related files and works with support contractor for processing as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain various security forms (FFCL, SPP, access rosters, etc.)
  • Train company personnel on security awareness and security compliance, including specific training on SCA procedures, Operations Security (OPSEC), and security threats.
  • Perform alarm response and compliance inspections, reporting any adverse information as necessary and familiar with UL2050 monitoring requirements.
  • Review emails between Government Solutions and Intelsat Corporation (the "Affiliate") monthly, to ensure that there is no undue foreign control or influence from the Affiliate.
  • Prepare company personnel for visits requiring access to DoD classified and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) facilities or data.
  • Perform the duties of the ISTO and manage all insider threat activities in coordination with the FSO and ISSO
  • Maintain up-to-date DD-254 contract and security personnel files for all GS programs.
  • Helps with the development of program security plans for classified proposals and contracts. when required.
  • Maintain and updates the company's System Security Plans
  • Perform administrative tasks in support of regular GS meetings, such as providing quarterly reports of SCA agreement and Affiliated Operations Plan compliance
  • Act as a liaison between government customers and the company, when necessary
  • Provides necessary support to the FSO and Senior Management in coordination with all NISPOM requirements.


Your required experience/skills :

  • You have a Bachelors' Degree, with at least seven (3) years of applicable experience in security clearances, government security protocols and related subjects Understanding of 32 CFR part 107
  • Must have a strong understanding of the requirements necessary to safeguard classified information and working with IT controlled systems.
  • Operational readiness on how to operate secure telephone equipment and secure fax machines and classified computer systems.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills and able to make decision promptly under pressure.
  • Must hold a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph .
  • This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Citizen.
