Securities Services - Depositary Services - Client Depositary Manager - Vice President
Job Summary:
As a Vice President in the Securities Services - Depositary Services team, you will join a diverse and experienced team of depositary client managers. You will be responsible for leading, managing, and directing specific depositary services client relationships across oversight and controls. You will execute key business objectives, manage client and business risks, develop depositary product capabilities, and cultivate key client and stakeholder relationships. This role offers an opportunity to apply your technical and regulatory thought leadership and the ability to execute complex programs of work and manage strategic client relationships for clients managing Luxembourg UCITS and AIFs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of oversight activities for allocated client relationships within defined business control and escalation frameworks.
- Foster and develop strategic partnerships with clients and key stakeholders, prepare and present depositary oversight programs and findings, and attend client fund board meetings.
- Lead by example, managing oversight activities to ensure risk assessments, client requirements, and due diligence are completed satisfactorily.
- Identify emerging risks and escalate them to senior management for appropriate assessment and mitigation.
- Support product differentiators and develop a philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Engage with internal partners to ensure the Depositary strategy is comprehensive and supports the wider Investor Services objectives.
- Ensure depositary services comply with applicable laws and regulations and the specificities of alternative or private asset funds.
- Lead and manage depositary client relationships to refine and develop capabilities during a period of significant regulatory evolution and business growth.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Financial services experience, in depositary services.
- Detailed knowledge of Luxembourg UCITS and AIFMD (Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive) depositary oversight requirements, including relevant CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier) Circulars and Regulations.
- Extensive experience in the Luxembourg fund industry, including legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic management approach with the ability to identify and manage evolving risks.
- Professional judgment, strong communication, and networking skills.
- Broad commercial expertise combined with experience in contractual and related legal processes.
- Demonstrable leadership and management capabilities.
- Analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics and results, and identify trends.
- High emotional intelligence, with sound networking and influencing skills to enhance the effectiveness of the Depositary team.
