Job Summary
To support the bank by analyzing, validating, and maintaining accurate data relating to collateral held against lending facilities. The role focuses on producing meaningful collateral insights, ensuring legal compliance of loan documentation, and collaborating with IT to enhance systems for effective collateral data management.Sustained good relationship with the Government Registrars to institute healthier working relations.
Provide continuous support in the process of maintenance, safe custody, and cancelation of securities.
Critical analysis of the Bank’s security documents within the set parameters to ensure proper and enforceable security documents whilst meeting customers’ expectations in line with the Bank’s strategy.
Pre-disbursement analysis and issue technical opinion to manager for review and sign off.
Analyze and ensure perfection of securities.
Analysis of any other securities documentation that the bank may enter with third parties.
Job Description
Collateral Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze data relating to all collateral held by the bank.
- Develop and maintain collateral registers and reporting frameworks.
- Produce quantitative and qualitative insights for decision-making.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and risks.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc collateral reports.
Systems Development & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Key stakeholders to oversee system requirements.
- Support design, testing, and implementation of collateral systems.
- Develop interim manual or semi-automated solutions.
- Recommend improvements to data integrity and reporting efficiency.
Documentation Review & Legal Compliance
- Review loan documentation for completeness and legal compliance.
- Ensure enforceability of securities such as mortgage bonds and guarantees.
- Identify documentation deficiencies and risks.
- Liaise with key stakeholders.
Collateral & Security Validation
- Confirm collateral is properly recorded, valued, and documented.
- Ensure facilities are correctly linked to securities.
- Assess adequacy of secured vs unsecured facilities.
- Safeguard the bank’s interests through proper collateral structuring.

Education
