The Role

Position Summary: 

Responsible for project managing a portfolio of cases, inclusive of large and benchmark cases. Responsible for organizing all activities on these cases including: case research, marketing, interaction with clients and claims administrators, claims filings, and audit responses. May also assist other team members as appropriate on other cases.
*PLEASE NOTE: Must have experience in financial services and securities trading, including comprehensive knowledge of hedge funds, trading desks, and a range of financial instruments such as forwards, options, swaps, futures contracts, etc.

Key  Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): 

  • Research new and existing class action settlements

  • Project manage cases by researching new and existing financial and securities class action settlements to identify applicable CUSIPs, ISIN, ticker symbols, etc., that will be necessary for claim filing.

  • Use critical thinking methods to utilize data sources across multiple cases.

  • Develop and execute project plan for assigned cases

  • Oversee marketing and communication activities for assigned cases

  • File claims on behalf of clients with claims administrator.  Work with clients and claims administrator to maximize recovery

  • Update systems with pertinent updates from research and claims filing activities

  • Develop case level valuation model to estimate anticipated recovery

  • Interact with clients, sales organization, and client services about the particulars of assigned cases and case updates

  • Process and extrapolate claim data in eligible cases

  • Actively participate in suggesting, testing, and implementing infrastructure changes and process improvements

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or related field, preferred or 3+ years equivalent amount of related experience

  • Must have experience in financial services and securities trading - including comprehensive knowledge of hedge funds, trading desks, and a range of financial instruments such as forwards, options, swaps, futures contracts, etc.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills required

  • 1-2 of project management, intermediate experience with analysis of information and data

  • Proficiency with desktop and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), required

  • Strong writing skills, proofreading, attention to detail required

  • SQL experience a plus
