What you will be doing:
Join us in a dynamic and impactful role where you will have the opportunity to drive ROCKWOOL Group’s safety and health ambitions forward. Collaborate with a dedicated team of skilled specialists and engage with our global factories to achieve greater success in safety and health initiatives.
As the Section Manager, you will manage a team of five specialists passionate about safety and health improvements. You will collaborate with the broader Group Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Department, comprising 20 dedicated members across Denmark and Poland. Despite being spread across multiple locations, we maintain a tight-knit culture that values teamwork and a shared sense of humor. You will join a team where ambitions are high and be part of a company culture where SHE is a high on the agenda. You will report directly to the Senior Director of SHE and be part of a management team of four.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Safety and Health team
- Conduct performance reviews and make decisions regarding recruitment, remuneration, and other personnel actions in collaboration with the Senior Director of SHE
- Adapt departmental plans to section plans to address resource and operational challenges
- Provide technical guidance and drive the development of ROCKWOOL Safety and Health policy and strategy
- Enhance safety and health performance globally and offer professional assistance on key processes, technical, legislative, and managerial matters
What you bring:
- Engineering, scientific, or technical background
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a section manager
- Degree holder with at least 8 years’ experience in Safety and Health advising
- Knowledge of safety and health legislation and management systems
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with training and audits is a plus
- Preference for candidates with experience in production companies
