Job Description:
Section Leader
Up to £53,000 per annum
18-month FTC
Onsite - Arlington
Your new role
As a Section Leader for our Arlington site, you will be managing a team of approximately 15 employees to ensure targets for quality, throughput cost and safety are consistently met.

Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility

Effective leadership across a range of manufacturing issues within own section to hit QCDM KPIs
-
Formal and informal management of behaviors of team members
-
Act as an effective team member amongst peer group
-
Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving activity
-
Interact effectively with support department personnel
-
Maintain housekeeping level.
-
Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
-
Monitor, control and minimise waste.
-
Lead daily communication meetings.
-
Deputise for Production / Outstation Manager from time to time.
About you
-
Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
-
Experience in rail or a rail environment
-
Project management skills
-
Intermediate >Advanced IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

Powered plant and tools – bogie drop, cranes, air systems / 110v tools.

Depot Protection
-
Working at Height, AC/DC Depot isolation
