Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a Team Leader in Engineering for overseeing preventive and breakdown maintenance operations for various equipment used in production processes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring quality compliance, optimizing equipment performance, and managing projects related to equipment upgrades and installations. You will also be responsible for implementing safety protocols and fostering effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for leading the engineering team, overseeing preventive and breakdown maintenance operations for a range of equipment including Reactors , Centrifuges , ANFDs and all powder process equipemnts
• You will ensure quality compliance by reviewing engineering deliverables and implementing corrective actions to achieve excellence in all operations.
• You will utilize your knowledge of budgeting, PM scheduling, and calibration execution to effectively manage resources and optimize equipment performance.
• Guide the team in event investigation closure, propose appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and ensure audit compliance to maintain operational integrity.
• You will handle projects related to machine upgrades, equipment installation, and commissioning, as well as modifications to production areas.
• Ensure minimum downtime due to breakdowns and ensure equipment and facilities are available as per production plans to support operational efficiency.
• Generate energy and cost-saving ideas and oversee their implementation to optimize operational expenses and resource utilization.
• Ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities by implementing and maintaining robust safety management protocols.
Qualifications
Educational qualification: B.Tech / B.E - Mechanical
Minimum work experience: 12-18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on manufacturing and engineering.
Skills & attributes:
Technical Skills
• Prior experience in maintenance and engineering roles preferred.
• Possess basic knowledge of PLC and computerized systems (SCADA) to support equipment monitoring and control processes.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge on Reactor , Centrifuges , ANFDs , all powder process equipments , LYO and Isolators.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GMP and cGMP standards.
Behavioural skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
