Secondary Desk Research Associate Consultant

Deliver and manage ad-hoc research requests (medical and non-medical experts mapping, Onekey categorization, digital analysis, centers of excellence identification, PAG mapping, etc.). The role involves secondary desk research, storyboarding, stakeholder and project management, business development support, feasibilities, effort estimations, process improvement etc.

Principal Accountabilities:

Operational Responsibilities

• Perform extensive desk research to build a detailed understanding of the stakeholders (individuals/organizations), and identify and map them
• Identification of Key external experts/Key opinion leaders through scientific/digital channels
• Identification of non-medical stakeholders including HTA/HEOR Experts/Patient advocates/Patients/Policy makers/Regulators/religious leaders/Payers, etc.
• Integrate qualitative and quantitative data and present the analysis in a structured manner; bring out value-added insights to the clients
• Undertake analysis to include details on the stakeholders/experts based on various defined KPIs such as activities in policy, research, etc.
• Deliver high quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks / issues and escalate to the project leads in a timely manner

Project Management

• Assume ownership of assigned client account, end to end project execution, prioritize workflow, oversee the quality of the deliverables, negotiate project timelines, and address any issues promptly.
• Handle client/onshore meetings.

People Management (Optional)

• Manage small project team assigned to a project(s), provide regular feedback, and manage professional development on projects.

Other Responsibilities

• Design and conduct skill-based internal training sessions.
• Support business development (proposal creation etc.), knowledge management, quality, and process improvement

Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge Required:

• Graduate/Post-graduate Degree in Life Sciences from a premier institute
• 3-5 years of experience in roles within Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology/ Consulting/ Professional Services Outsourcing company
• Possess demonstrated hands on expertise in one or more practice areas
• Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and draw meaningful insights
• Ability to understand the client objective, manage client expectations
• Able to structure project research approach leveraging cross IQVIA resources and extract key learning’s independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate with different layers in the organization.
• Strong grasp of research methodologies and their merits/shortcomings
• Should be able to conceptualize new ideas for research and give shape to them
• High sensitivity to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpretation and analytical skills with a knack for structured thinking
• Highly articulate with excellent presentation skills (especially PowerPoint)
• Understanding of global healthcare environment
• High consciousness towards attention to detail; drive and commitment towards delivering high quality work
• Self-motivated, with strong work ethics; proactive in identifying issues and opportunities
• Adaptability and resilience to work constructively under pressure
• Strong team player and proactive in prioritizing and organizing the tasks to meet deadlines, working on multiple projects
• Key skill set required include secondary desk research, MS-Excel (advanced) skills, MS-Power point (advanced) skills, Scientific KEEs and other important stakeholder mapping including HTA/HEOR/Patient advocates/Patients/Policy makers/Regulators/religious leaders/Payers, etc.
