The Role:
Ardian Tokyo office is looking for a long-term intern. The Intern will work among the investment and investor relations teams to handle multiple projects and daily tasks. The Intern is expected to deliver quality outputs on a timely manner, and provide valuable insights to the respective teams and management.
- Screen Japanese and Asian private equity market
- Compile information, conduct research, and evaluate fund managers
- Conduct due diligence (strategy, team, performance, projections, transaction modelling, etc.)
- Value and price equity interests in private equity funds and companies
- Prepare investment recommendations and memos
- Review quarterly financial statements of underlying investments
- Monitor investments and development vs. targeted performance
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting presentations
Profile:
- Students or graduates of top business/finance schools or universities (Master’s degree and/or Major in Finance would be a comparative advantage)
- Strong commercial understanding of Private Equity
- Ideally the candidate would have prior experience in investment bank, corporate advisory, private equity, financial audit positions
- Fluency in Japanese and English
Required Skills:
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office programs
- Proficiency in corporate and private equity funds financial models
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to details
- Responsiveness and timeliness
- Interpersonal skills to be a strong team player
