POSITION OVERVIEW 

The SEC Financial Reporting Analyst II will be responsible for the timely preparation of external financial reports in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements, as well as assisting the team with technical accounting research and documentation.  

 
WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Serve as project leader for the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings, primarily Form 10-Qs, Form 10-K, Form 8-Ks, and Proxy Statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. 

  • Prepare quarterly financial statements, including Statements of Comprehensive Income and Statements of Shareholders’ Investment for leadership approval. 

  • Responsible for detailed preparation and review of supporting work papers for data and disclosures contained in SEC filings, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial disclosures. 

  • Evaluate new accounting pronouncements and impact on financial statements. 

  • Assist in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, impairment, and lease accounting, including updates to policies and procedures. 

  • Prepare memos to document implementation of accounting guidance and related technical accounting research. 

  • Review and analyze company contracts and agreements for proper accounting treatment and make recommendations to promote compliance. 

  • Participate in month-end close process and preparation for the annual audit.  

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and related Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements for the financial reporting and close process. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. 

  • 5+ years of accounting or audit experience. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 

  • Experience with SEC Reporting. 

WHAT WILL HELP 

  • Professional certification or pursuing professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, CMA). 

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  

  • 3+ years of experience with SEC Reporting.
