Hourly Rate: $18.50 an hour
Position Summary:
The Tankyard Seasonal Support ensures the Tankyard is running efficiently. The Tankyard Seasonal Support reports to the Production Tankyard Lead and the Tankyard Team Lead. The hourly rate for the role is $18.50/hour. This is anticipated to be primarily day shift hours, 5:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., however, schedule changes may be required based on business need.
Position Responsibilities:
- Promotes a winning culture
- Prepares the Brine needed daily (35k-70k gallons/day) during the season and any other time of year
- Caps tanks before sunrise each morning for 12-20 tanks per day, getting lumber and correctly placing on top of produce.
- Brines tanks after the capping is done, ensuring cap is secure.
- Preps tanks after produce removed, completes a cleaning process, pumps the tank down and consolidates produce into full tanks.
- Opening Tanks- Involves pulling cap wood of the tank stacking it on a pallet.
- Cleans tanks; must be Confined Space-certified trained with Conagra.
- Drives yard dog to perform necessary tasks.
- Completes yard repairs, including repairing hoses, replacing purgers, and similar functions.
- Perform cucumber sampling and cutting to track for quality purposes.
- Blocks and salts 400-500 produce tanks for winter months.
- Completes necessary paperwork, reporting as necessary to tankyard team leader.
Skills required:
- Excellent reasoning skills – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make conclusions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills with good listening skills.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and statistical tools is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - both formal and informal including ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
- Ambitious self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction
- Flexible and able to work well in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environment
