Position: Recreation Program Specialist - Volleyball (Seasonal - SEAS)
Hourly Rate: $30.00 (no benefits)
Job Summary:
The Town of Barnstable Recreation Division is seeking a dedicated Program Specialist to lead and support participants in our seasonal youth programs. This role focuses on ensuring the safety, engagement, and enjoyment of children in grades 3-8, with an emphasis on Volleyball instruction. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, leadership, and a strong background in the sport.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and lead youth in volleyball activities and games
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
- Supervise group activities and maintain a positive and inclusive environment
- Enforce program rules and guidelines as set by the Recreation Division
- Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coaching or playing volleyball
- Previous experience working with or supervising children
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young participants in a recreational setting
Program Schedule:
- Monday, June 29th, 2026 - Thursday, July 2nd, 2026
- 8:00 AM - 3:00 AM
