Seasonal (SEAS) Position
Definition
An individual who is responsible for the safety and well-being of participants in a recreational activity. The Recreation Assistant will instruct activities in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the Recreation Division.
Recreation Assistants will lead flag football drills, help participants improve their skills, manage a team during the season, and contribute to game operations. Session plans will be provided and supervised by the Program Coordinator.
Program Dates and Locations:
Grades 4 & 5 program @ Barnstable United Elementary School on Wednesdays and Fridays, September 18, 2026-November 6, 2026, from 2:45pm-4:30pm each day. No program on 10/9 or 11/4.
Grades 6 & 7 program @ Barnstable Intermediate School on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 22, 2026-November 3, 2026, from 2:30pm-4:30pm each day.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be age 14+.
Intermediate knowledge of flag football.
Ability to be a positive role model for the participants.
