We are seeking an experienced SDET Engineer – Automation to drive quality engineering initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and ETL/Data Validation, along with hands-on experience in API testing, automation framework development, and continuous testing practices.
In this role, you will work closely with developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product owners to ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the development lifecycle. You will play a key role in building robust automation frameworks, validating complex data workflows, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and promoting a quality-first engineering culture while leveraging modern automation and AI-assisted development tools.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, and Serenity BDD.
- Build and execute automated UI and API test suites to validate enterprise applications and backend services.
- Perform comprehensive data validation using SQL across ETL processes, data warehouses, master data management (MDM), data pipelines, and enterprise data platforms.
- Execute end-to-end testing, including Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, System, Regression, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing support.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and improve release quality.
- Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, and reporting mechanisms to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
- Validate enterprise applications developed using Java and Spring Boot while ensuring functional accuracy and performance.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, test strategy discussions, and quality planning throughout Agile development cycles.
- Manage test data, defect lifecycle, execution reports, and quality metrics across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects, improve automation coverage, and enhance overall software quality.
- Support release validation, deployment testing, and production readiness activities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to optimize automation processes through AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices.
- 6+ years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer with expertise in enterprise application testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, automation framework design, and reusable component development.
- Experience in API automation using REST Assured and modern API testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of ETL testing, database validation, SQL, data warehouse testing, MDM, and enterprise data pipelines.
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, automation best practices, defect management, and software quality metrics.
- Experience integrating automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot applications, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and in-sprint automation practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and modern DevOps workflows.
- Knowledge of API Testing, REST Assured, and Playwright is considered an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
