As Conviva expands, we are trying to collect more information from more devices with simplified integration. We are seeking an SDET Engineer to join our India office.
What Success Will Look Like:
- Automated Testing Framework Development: You will develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient test automation frameworks for mobile, web, and API applications using tools like Appium, Selenium, Rest Assured, etc. Your work will be integral in identifying and resolving software issues early in the development cycle, ensuring high-quality product releases.
- Comprehensive Test Coverage: You will be responsible for writing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage across all functionalities. You will work closely with development & QA teams to create test plans and strategies that align with product requirements and user stories.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): You will integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring quick feedback and continuous improvement in testing processes. Your efforts will contribute to reducing the time and effort required for manual testing, enhancing the efficiency of the QA process.
- Collaboration and Communication: You will actively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements, provide testing insights, and advocate for quality. Your clear and effective communication will help in identifying potential issues early and ensuring that they are resolved promptly.
- Proactive Issue Identification and Resolution: You will take ownership of identifying and investigating bugs and issues, providing detailed reports, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Your proactive approach will help in maintaining the stability and reliability of the applications.
Who You Are & What You've Done:
- Candidate with 2-4 years of experience in software testing and automation, particularly in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Java.
- Proficient with tools like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, etc., for testing web/mobile/API applications.
- Strong programming skills in Java and are familiar with test automation frameworks, continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems like Jira, etc.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, life cycles, and processes.
- Designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts, as well as debugging and refactoring existing test scripts.
- Detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferrable Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
