Wind River Systems is seeking a Engineer– Certification Center of Excellence our Professional Services Safety Certification team in Bangalore, India. This high-performing engineer will be a critical member of a co-located team generating software and evidence for safety critical systems. You will interact with our highly skilled global teams in North America or Europe on a regular basis:

Your Role

  • Develop system tests and execution of system test cases for a highly available, carrier grade platform which will be the platform of choice for 5G vendors
  • Work with the most dynamic and exciting open source software projects today – Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, Helm, Openstack, Ansible, Ceph, etc
  • Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization, VM management and fault tolerant/carrier grade testing.
  • Investigate and report issues during product verification cycles
  • Provide support to documentation and customer-facing teams
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree) More than 1-3 years of relevant technical experience in software development and testing automation
  • #EXP[1-3]
  • Experience in software test automation and developing test automation framework from scratch
  • Experience with Linux environment
  • Strong programming skills using Python with different frameworks (Robot, Pytest etc.) and Plugins
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Hands on experience with Elastic Stack verification
  • Exposure to back-end and UI automation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments
  • Exposure to other languages (Shell Scripting) would be an asset
  • Understanding of other domains such as storage/security/DC would be a plus
  • Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies
  • Experience with containers and/or cloud-based technologies including Kubernetes, OpenStack would be an asset
  • Experience with industry standard networking test tools would be an asset
  • A good level of understanding / contribution to the open source community would be an asset
