What will you be doing?
Design and build highly scalable backend services and distributed systems.
Own critical microservices end-to-end including architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Solve high complexity engineering problems around scale, performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.
Write clean, maintainable, production-grade Java code daily.
Build low latency APIs and event-driven systems processing large-scale real-time data.
Drive system design, low-level design (LLD), debugging, observability, and infrastructure optimization.
Participate in on-call rotations and production incident handling.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
What is required from you?
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience building backend systems in production environments.
• Excellent Java programming skills with strong understanding of:
- Multithreading & concurrency
- JVM internals & performance optimization
- Memory management & garbage collection
• Strong expertise in:
- Spring Boot
- REST APIs & Microservices
- Distributed Systems
- Event-driven architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with:
- MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Redis or distributed caching systems
- Kafka/RabbitMQ/PubSub or similar messaging systems
• Experience with:
- AWS/GCP
- Docker & Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring & observability tools
• Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
Good to Have
Experience with geospatial or weather-related data systems.
• Familiarity with formats and technologies such as:
- GeoJSON
- GeoTIFF
- GIS systems
- Spatial indexing / geo queries
- Map rendering pipelines
• Exposure to real-time weather, mapping, location intelligence, or geospatial platforms.
• Experience with high-frequency time-series data processing.

Skills Required
- 4-5+ years building and operating backend systems in production environments at scale
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record of owning significant components or services from inception to maturity
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern language (Go, Python, Java, etc.)
- Deep hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Extensive experience building, deploying, and operating microservices handling high throughput
- Strong background designing and running data processing pipelines at scale
- Significant experience with incident response and debugging live issues
