About the role

Deque Systems is a global leader in digital accessibility. Our India Developer Services team builds and maintains specialised tooling that makes accessibility auditing faster, smarter, and more scalable for some of the world's largest digital products. We are looking for a Developer who is technically strong, curious about AI, and passionate about writing good code.

You will work alongside a Senior Developer and directly contribute to our browser extension, AI-powered features, and internal tooling. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys learning, and wants to grow quickly in a team that is genuinely pushing the frontier of AI-assisted accessibility.

What you will do

•       Develop and maintain features for our Chrome browser extension used by accessibility consultants across client projects.

•       Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities — working with LLM APIs, supporting MCP server development, and helping automate parts of the manual accessibility testing workflow.

•       Independently own assigned features and deliver high-quality, well-documented code.

•       Participate in code reviews, apply feedback constructively, and progressively raise your own coding standards.

•       Contribute to internal tooling, automation scripts, and reporting apps used across the services team.

•       Stay current with AI tools and frameworks; experiment with new approaches and share learnings with the team.

•       Collaborate actively during sprint cycles, including during high-intensity delivery periods when extra effort may be needed.

What we are looking for

•       2–4 years of professional software development experience with a strong web development background.

•       Good working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and at least one of: TypeScript, React, or Node.js.

•       Working knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and REST API integration.

•       Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience with AI/LLM APIs and modern AI tooling (prompt engineering, API integration, agentic patterns).

•       Good foundational understanding of web accessibility — WCAG principles, semantic HTML, ARIA usage; formal experience is a plus but genuine curiosity and willingness to learn deeply is essential.

•       Strong coding fundamentals: writes clean, readable, maintainable code with a focus on quality over speed.

•       Self-motivated with a problem-solving attitude — does not wait to be told what to do next.

•       Actively follows AI developments in the industry and enjoys experimenting with new tools and models.

•       Based in Hyderabad and willing to work from our office as needed.
