Take the lead in driving innovation and strategic execution across Dematic's Solutions Applications and Data initiatives. As the GET Tech Project Manager, you'll coordinate the development of advanced tools and platforms guided by dedicated Product Owner agents. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $104,250-139,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Job Family Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage escalated Configura tickets and actively participate in associated meetings
  • Own and optimize program budgeting, forecasting, and delivery using Agile practices
  • Guide software design, testing, integration, and support across multiple regions
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions including Big Room Planning and POA Meetings
  • Participate in SDA Monthly and Quarterly All Hands, and other strategic forums
  • Oversee tool development, including Parametric Graphical Configuration and CET-Designer platforms
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to ensure delivery meets financial and operational goals
  • Collaborate with product management, program management, global project engineering, Solution development, R&D and other stakeholders to plan program deliverables, priorities, and resource needs.
  • Lead full lifecycle of new product development across engineering, solution development, and global product teams
  • Act as the key liaison between software teams, product departments, and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with users to understand and translate needs into actionable requirements
  • Evaluate business impact of proposed changes through data modeling and Agile methods
  • Lead reviews of customer standards to assess integration and specification alignment
  • Deliver high-impact technical presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Participate in Process Alignment Meetings and contribute to RACI sessions for cross-team coordination
  • Provide clear guidance on project prioritization in line with strategic goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain tools (Parametric Graphical Configuration, Dematic software products, and industry products) and solution (application and integration of IT) expertise and serve as a tool consultant serving engineering, product development, management, solution development, and Dematic customers.
  • Bring together component subsystems into a whole and ensuring that those subsystems function together as a solution.
  • Provide oversight of sales opportunities involving the use of tools to improve Dematic’s closing rate insuring the best customer solutions at the lowest cost.
  • Plans and executes work plans that define project scope, objectives, budget and schedule.
  • Lead reviews of customer tools and application standards to determine the application and integration requirements.
  • Develop presentations to communicate complex tool solutions using principles, theories, and industry experience to Dematic customers.
  • Review project offerings to mitigate risk by insuring the tool specifications are correct and the customer requirements are met.
  • Work quickly and precisely while under pressure to confidently formulate clear, meaningful answers to customer questions… “Think on your feet” mentality.
  • Communicate complex principles to team members, management, and customers, with ease and credibility.
  • Provide an intellectual atmosphere conducive to the stimulation and interchange of ideas.
  • Initiate clever and imaginative ideas to meet customer requests, generate opportunities, and to create Dematic value.
  • Judiciously carry out assignments even if direction is not clear.
  • Support Dematic efforts to develop Business and market Material Handling Solutions.
  • Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field.
  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently.
  • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.

Education:

  • BS/BA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Formal training in communication, sales, and IT highly desirable
  • LEAN certification preferred
  • PSPO certification or other Agile credentials a strong plus
  • 5–10 years of experience in software and tool development within the Material Handling industry
  • Advanced knowledge of material handling solutions, automation, and IT integration
  • Experience collaborating with R&D to commercialize technical products
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, CAD, CET-Designer, and related platforms
  • Skilled in AutoCAD file interpretation and design standards
  • Strong business acumen including cost analysis and proposal development
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; proven ability to manage large global teams
  • Deep understanding of multicultural business environments and stakeholder management

Knowledge:

  • Strong functional knowledge of software, controls, mechanical hardware as it relates to Material Handling Solutions for the manufacturing and distribution industries.
  • Functional knowledge of automated Material handling Systems as it relates to integration of operation principles, products, and IT.
  • Good understanding of financial analyses necessary to build a business case.
  • Effective listener and communicator.
  • Skilled in problem solving techniques.
  • Effective management skills.
  • Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
  • Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of successful tool development experience in and around the Material handling Industry.
  • Experience in Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience in the project engineering and design arena.

Team management and leadership:

  • Provide leadership support to ensure team successfully delivers on expectations.
  • Recruit, retain, and mentor a high-performing global team
  • Foster a positive team culture, drive engagement, and ensure alignment with Dematic values
  • Conduct Team and FTE 1:1s, performance reviews, and goal-setting sessions
  • Oversee time-off requests and Tempo time approvals
  • Support professional growth through development plans and coaching
  • Proactively manage team resources, including outsourcing strategies as needed
  • Cultivate regional support and engagement for datasets and engineering tools

Key Working Relationships

  • Primarily intra-organizational contacts and vendor contacts.
