This role will be reporting to the R&D Line Manager in business area Industrial Automation (IA) located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. It is based in Bangalore, the silicon-valley of India. Its unique infrastructure places research, development, engineering, and service teams under one roof, increasing collaboration and reducing time to market, with no compromise on quality.
You will join a team of skilled engineers to lead and develop advanced industrial control applications for the energy service sector. You will contribute meaningfully to technology and product development efforts by spotting, proposing, and applying innovative solutions. Collaborating with teams in Norway, Sweden and Germany, the breadth of technologies and control strategies employed is broad. We are looking for someone who is technically very strong. Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be empowered to start and shape technology, software, product, or solution efforts drawing on comprehensive technical knowledge in a specialized area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also demonstrate your technical leadership by supporting strategic corporate technology management and shaping future product, software, and solution architectures.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Process Control Platform Division in Bangalore Location
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Coordinated Scrum teams to apply Agile methods and industry best practices to deliver quality products and services while advancing a Lean-Agile mindset and organization-wide Scrum usage.
- Guided and advised cross-functional teams to deepen collaboration, cultivate positive team dynamics, raise productivity, and pursue ongoing process improvements.
- Facilitated Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Scrum of Scrums, while managing dependencies, risks, impediments, and cross-team coordination.
- Assisted Product Owners with backlog refinement, defect triage, and prioritization while identifying challenges, reducing risks, and guiding resolution efforts to keep project delivery on track.
Qualifications for the role:
- Experienced in guiding Agile teams by creating a trusting environment, motivating individuals to advance their skills, and encouraging continuous progress beyond familiar boundaries.
- Possess 5–8 years of experience as a Scrum Master managing Agile teams, with Scrum Master certification.
- Adept at creative problem-solving and delivering measurable results in rapidly evolving and demanding work environments.
- Proficient communicator with solid facilitation, negotiation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, able to convey complex concepts in an accessible and compelling way.
- Skilled in building positive team dynamics, collaboration across cross-functional teams, conflict resolution, and forward-looking risk management.
- Motivated and well-organized professional who brings decisive leadership, consideration for others, and openness to exploring different projects and conversations.
- Experience working with client stakeholders, business representatives, and technical teams; exposure to Industrial Automation and Digital projects.
