The Scrum Master role leads the team that is building agent facing technology applications.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
- Prioritize projects and development tasks with guidance from Product Manager
- Review and manage backlog items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate
- Track, forecast and report on project progress including metrics and challenges
- Be a change agent. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the work of the squad
- Actively create and maintain the culture within the squad based on the organization and Agile leadership behaviors
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to help drive Agile maturity
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in the role of Scrum Master and Project Manager
- Strong working knowledge of Agile practices
- Proficient in JIRA or Wrike and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Agile, Scrum and PMP Professional Certification
- Ability to influence behavior without having formal organizational hierarchy
- High sense of urgency; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where speedy delivery is a core value
- High accountability and ownership mentality; takes responsibility to drive projects to successful completion
- Effective leadership skills with ability to analyze, make decisions, and think quickly, and to resolve conflict
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
