Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Scrum Master to join our team at EpicMetry. In this role, you will facilitate Agile practices, help to remove obstacles, and foster an environment of continuous improvement among cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while promoting Agile methodologies and principles throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure successful Agile execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving team conflicts and removing impediments to progress.
- Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and ensure proper requirements and acceptance criteria are defined.
- Support the team in maintaining focus on sprint goals and delivering high-quality results.
- Track and report on team performance metrics, providing insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of accountability and transparency within the team while encouraging collaboration.
- Provide coaching and training to teams on Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Encourage cross-team collaboration and foster relationships with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in Agile methodologies, advocating best practices within the organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile software development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse teams.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA or similar.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple priorities.
