Overview of Role
As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile processes and ceremonies, promoting team collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and writing skills, along with expertise in Azure DevOps and relevant Agile certifications. Please Note - Start date is mid of October.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment.
- Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Guide the team in adhering to Scrum practices and principles, ensuring alignment with 66Degrees “Hybrid Agile waterfall” methodologies.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring its readiness for the upcoming sprints.
- Use JIRA and similar tools effectively to track progress, manage backlogs, and generate reports.
- Coach the team on Agile best practices, promoting continuous improvement and fostering a culture of learning.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Identify and escalate issues or risks that may impact project timelines or quality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role, preferably in a software development environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or higher certification (e.g., CSP, PSM) is required., PMP is plus.
- Proficiency in using JIRA for backlog management and sprint tracking.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to document meeting minutes, sprint goals, and other project-related artifacts.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus among team members.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Effective risk management and mitigation strategies include identifying, assessing, and prioritizing potential risks, implementing proactive measures to reduce their likelihood or impact, and continuously tracking and adjusting responses to address evolving dependencies and challenges
- Remove Roadblocks: Proactively identify and address obstacles that impede team progress, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
