Scrum Master
Role Overview
As a Scrum Master, you will lead and support multiple Scrum teams responsible for delivering solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The teams focus on maximizing the use of Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) ServiceNow capabilities, minimizing customizations, and delivering seamless integrations with internal and external systems.
You will act as a servant leader, facilitator, coach, and change agent, enabling teams to deliver high-quality business value while continuously improving Agile maturity, team performance, and delivery predictability. You will foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to Scrum and Agile principles.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and Scrum of Scrums (SoS).
- Support teams in achieving Sprint Goals and delivering high-quality increments aligned with the Definition of Done (DoD).
- Promote Agile values, principles, and continuous improvement practices.
Team Coaching & Leadership
- Coach and mentor teams to become self-organized and high-performing.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous learning.
- Remove impediments and facilitate resolution of conflicts and delivery challenges.
Product Owner & Stakeholder Support
- Support Product Owners in Product Goal definition, backlog management, and prioritization.
- Ensure backlog items are clear, refined, and well understood by the team.
- Facilitate effective collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and business partners.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and report Agile metrics and derive meaningful actions to improve performance and delivery predictability.
- Drive retrospective actions and improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Overall 10+ years of IT Software industry experience and actively playing the role of a Scrum Master is must
- Must have worked with one of the Tools like JIRA, ServiceNow Agile, Azure DevOps.. etc
- Prior experience in Software Development Life Cycle of 3-5 years.
- Involved in applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Experience as a Team Leader and coaching, training, or developing teams
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as Scrum Master for a software development team
- Experience in managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
- ServiceNow knowledge
- Knowledge & experience of SAFe is good to have.
Skills Required
- 10+ years of IT software industry experience and active Scrum Master experience
- Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow Agile, Azure DevOps, or a similar Agile tool
- 3–5 years of software development lifecycle experience
- Experience applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Experience as a team leader and in coaching, training, or developing teams
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience as Scrum Master for a software development team
- Experience managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously
- ServiceNow knowledge
- SAFe knowledge and experience
