Job Title: Scrum Master
Duties:
- Facilitating Scrum Processes, Remove impediments, coach and protect the team, ensure transparency across the board
- Facilitating self-organizing team(s) to ensure the team is making progress against Program Increment commitments.
- Facilitating Release planning for resource, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk at a design level by setting up a 2-day itinerary.
- Preparing release planning to decide on the number of sprints required to finish the work.
- Facilitating the baselining of high-level features to be picked up for the upcoming release, normally for a duration of 3 months.
- Facilitating requirement gathering interviews, conduct workshops, issue clarifications, and review documentation.
- Facilitating the estimation, review the estimates, and communicate to all the stakeholders using Scrum ceremonies.
- Facilitating Product backlog grooming to ensure the team always has a healthy product backlog.
- Use of DOR- Definition of Ready concept, to ensure that all the bases are covered when product backlog grooming is carried out.
- Facilitating sprint planning to set the sprint goal or objective.
- Facilitating detailed planning - breakdown stories into tasks and ensure the team has separated the stories into tasks, as this will enable the team to consider everything that should be done to finish the stories.
- Facilitating issue resolution within the team.
Skills Required
- Facilitating Scrum processes and ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Coach, protect, and enable self-organizing Agile teams
- Facilitate release planning, including resource, scope, schedule, quality, risk considerations
- Prepare release plans and determine number of sprints required
- Baseline high-level features for upcoming (approx. 3-month) releases
- Conduct requirement-gathering interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews
- Facilitate estimation sessions and communicate estimates to stakeholders
- Product backlog grooming using Definition of Ready (DOR)
- Facilitate detailed sprint planning and breakdown of stories into tasks
- Facilitate issue resolution within the team
