Purpose of the Role

We are going through massive, global Agile transformation. As a result, we are rapidly expanding our teams and are looking for an experienced Scrum master to join our team.

The purpose of the role is to maximize value delivery through collaboration, impediment removal, visibility, learning, and evidence-based improvement.

About the Role

The Scrum Master is a team coach and servant leader who facilitates change through the adoption and application of Agile principles, practices and frameworks; and enables the team(s) to self-organize and embrace ways of working, that results in the delivery of value outcomes to stakeholders.

This is a Band 3 Contributor Career Track Role.

Key Responsibilities

1) Providing coaching and guidance to the teams; support adoption and application of agile values, principles, and practices.

2) Provide support that helps Agile Teams improve overall ART performance, facilitating cross-team collaboration, alignment between team objectives, vision, strategic themes.

3) Participate in Sync events, Scrum Master Forums, and internal agile communities of practices.

4) Support and facilitate team ceremonies and other cadence events that drive progress towards value delivery and business outcomes.

5) Facilitate and support management of dependencies to ensure alignment of delivery, and removal of impediments that hinder achievement of team goals and objectives.

6) Support the team in establishing realistic and achievable delivery commitments while operating at a sustainable pace.

7) Maintain metrics and data necessary to provide visibility, assessment on team maturity, progress, quality, and value to stakeholders.

8) Protect team from disruptions, enable autonomy, and facilitate self-organization amongst team members.

9) Protect the team from external distractions; escalate in a timely manner as necessary

10) Utilize effective communication and good listening skills to teach, coach and mentor individuals and teams.

11) Foster a healthy working culture, build relationships, and key interactions with team and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

1) Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.

2) Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.

3) Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile, Scrum practices, and principles.

4) Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.

5) Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and understanding of its principles and practices.

6) Excellent communication, change facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.

7) Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

8) Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

9) Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

10) Ability to interact with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and product owners in matrix structure of product management team

11) Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architecture and technical standards.

Desired Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

· Certifications in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, etc)

· Working knowledge of tools that support Agile practices such as Jira, Trello, or similar.

· Experience in software development lifecycle and/or IT project management.
