The Role

Description

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Scrum Master for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Guides and coaches delivery teams to self-organize and achieve objectives. Cultivates an environment of continuous learning, helping teams to inspect and adapt. Provides support to the Product Owner and Development Teams, and leads by example. Proactively identifies and mitigates risks using Agile best practices and project data. Facilitates effective sprints by removing impediments and ensuring that stories are "sprint ready." Collaborates across business lines to drive simple, quick, and agile outcomes that have big impacts. Responds to fast-changing clients' requirements and interprets into business or technical language. Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and information radiation. Arranges daily stand-ups, facilitates story grooming, and coordinates sprint demos, planning and retrospectives. Facilitates discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Works with management to clarify needs and plan delivery of major product changes, future versions and new products.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, followed by four (4) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Leading IT projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies; Leading Agile, Kanban delivery, and rapid platform development teams on time, on budget, and to specification; Driving Scrum Teams to enact empirical product development, causing change that increases productivity, and ensuring products are delivered to a high standard of quality; Utilizing EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RedShift, and Glue, to deploy code on the AWS platform; Utilizing Jenkins to deploy code in application pipelines on AWSDataDog for system and application monitoring and daily application health checks; Preparing detailed production implementation and deployment plans using Planview, Jira, and MS Project to launch cloud platform projects; Calculating Sprint velocity, Sprint burndown, Sprint burnup, and Release burndown using JIRA Query Language, JIRA metrics and dashboards; Executing all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective; Ensuring Atlassian JIRA technical stories and sub-tasks align with business requirements; and Utilizing project management software, including JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project Planview.
