Who you are:
As a Scrum Master II, you are a dedicated servant-leader who is focused on fostering high-performing, self-organizing teams. You serve as a coach and facilitator, helping your teams navigate the complexities of software delivery by promoting transparency, psychological safety, and continuous improvement. Your role is to protect the team’s ability to deliver value while ensuring a healthy, sustainable pace. You act as a bridge between your development squads and their immediate stakeholders, ensuring that our "all-win" approach is reflected in how we plan, execute, and learn together. You are an advocate for the Agile mindset, helping those around you understand the "why" behind the process to ensure we deliver high-quality outcomes for our customers, all while keeping integrity, caring, and excellence top of mind.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a servant leader and coach for multiple development teams, supporting growth in agile maturity, self-organization, and cross-functional collaboration
- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies to drive focus, effective time-boxing, and meaningful outcomes
- Identify, address, and escalate team-level blockers, partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies and impediments
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, enabling constructive conflict resolution and ownership of commitments
- Support technical excellence by encouraging quality-focused, sustainable delivery practices
- Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a transparent, prioritized, and healthy backlog aligned to customer needs and business objectives
- Leverage team-level metrics to visualize progress, highlight trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Educate and support stakeholders in agile principles to improve communication, alignment, and expectations
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in a software development environment, with 3+ years dedicated to the Scrum Master role
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to apply agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) to maximize team effectiveness
- Proven facilitation skills, with the ability to lead meetings and workshops that result in alignment and clear, actionable outcomes
- Experience using agile management tools to manage backlogs, track progress, and produce meaningful team insights
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and effectively navigate team conflicts
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced iterative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Foundational knowledge of technical practices, such as CI/CD pipelines or automated testing, to support SDLC maturity
- Maintain an active certification, such as CSM or PSM I
- Possess advanced agile certifications, such as PSM II or A-CSM
- Release Management experience
- Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
