About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Scrum Master/Delivery Manager who is committed to empowering scrum teams to deliver real value to customers. This is not simply a scrum master role, but a hybrid role that combines agile facilitation with strategic delivery oversight, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance team coaching with stakeholder management. You will serve as the connective tissue between product, design, and engineering - ensuring teams are successfully shipping software and solving the right problems. You are a seasoned scrum master who has a hand in delivery management responsibilities. You will create the conditions for high-performing, mission-driven teams where the idea of outcome over output, and an attitude of continuous learning are privileged.
You will be supporting two teams developing Accuris' next-generation product offering that supports model-based systems engineering (MBSE), requirements management, and interoperability between PLM and ALM systems. You will also be supporting a platform engineering team that works to create the infrastructure and services that empower development teams to release code.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Coach and empower three scrum teams, ensuring Agile practices are seamlessly implemented from project conception to delivery
- Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including daily stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives for three teams
- Collect and monitor team performance data to foster learning and team improvements, as well as use these data to drive decisions, improve delivery processes, and communicate outcomes
- Own and resolve team blockers
- Report on sprints that are in-progress to technical leads and product stakeholders
- Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure prioritized work is groomed, planned, and executed appropriately
- Work with other scrum masters, release train engineering, and product stakeholders to ensure alignment on dependencies
- Facilitate and/or participate in ART events such as program increment planning
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between development, QA, product, and other relevant teams throughout the release lifecycle
Delivery Manager Responsibilities
- Understand and be accountable to delivery roadmaps (on the levels of the program increment and fiscal year) and ensure alignment with product and business priorities.
- Track and manage delivery milestones, dependencies, and risks across multiple teams
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of features, enhancements, and defects
- Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, and mitigation plans
- Align expectations between teams and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of goals and timelines
- Identify and address delivery bottlenecks, resource constraints, and skill gaps, and seek solutions to these problems
- Ensure transparency through dashboards, reports, and visual management tools
- Lead initiatives to improve delivery processes, tools, and practices
- Help teams identify and remove impediments, improve flow, and continuously optimize their processes using Agile principles
- Provides regular updates on release progress to stakeholders, including development teams, operations teams, and management
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Scrum Master experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting Agile development teams at an enterprise organization
- Robust track record for supporting scrum teams to build and release new products from conception to production
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes
- Experience supporting scrum teams in working towards delivery plans
- Experience in delivery management: understanding whether delivery plans are tracking against the velocity and progress of teams, experience identifying risk to deliveries and finding mitigation solutions
- Understanding of the release process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with aptitude to learn and make an impact quickly
- Ability to foster change, motivate others, and manage complex and diverse projects
- Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and internal partners
- Experience working with Agile development tracking tools
- Agile scrum certified (Certified Scrum Master-CSM), or equivalent, preferred
