Scripting & Automation, Technology Intern (Operations), Undergraduate - Summer 2026

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose:

• Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of technology solutions that support operational workflows.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation or system enhancements.
• Support data integration efforts between platforms (e.g., claims systems, CRM, ERP).
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and business analysts to gather requirements and document technical specifications.
• Participate in system configuration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and troubleshooting.
• Develop dashboards or reporting tools to improve visibility into operational metrics.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives using tools like Power Automate, ServiceNow, or RPA platforms.

Skills/Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation skills and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SAS, SQL).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in healthcare systems, operations, and digital transformation
• Understanding healthcare standards and regulations, exposure to tech platforms – Salesforce, Workday, Epic, Facets, etc.  Experience with Automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate).

Location: Can work in any of the 50 US States.

Remote(summer): 40/hrs. a week, 12 week program (May-August2026)

Pay Range :$18-26/hr.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
