WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Not all clerical jobs are created alike. Our Scribes are certainly responsible for accurately entering medical documentation into our electronic health care systems. But they are also responsible for locating mistakes in documentation, preparing referral letters, and working as part of team. This is a clerical job that requires working directly and compassionately with patients and providers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a clinic setting.
Responsible for the operation of the electronic health records and electronic dictation system.
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician, including but not limited to: patient medical history and physical exam, procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals, including nurses and physician assistant, patient education and explanations of risks and benefits, physician-dictated diagnoses, and prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up.
Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician.
Dictation/faxing/phone calls and clerical tasks. Use the present tense of verbs
Scribe also spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct the information in order to reduce errors.
Collect, organize and catalog data for physician quality reporting system and other quality improvement efforts and format for submission.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Proficiency in typing with excellent spelling, punctuation, grammar and oral communication.
Listen to complex medical information summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion.
Clear and legible handwriting.
High attention to detail.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Follow well-defined instructions and comply with regulations, standards and procedures.
Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
