What you’ll do: 

  • Join the team of Lottery & Terminals Factory and in particular the area Scratch and Win Platform reporting directly to Scratch and Win Platform Manager.
  • You will have the opportunity to be involved in analysis, design and development of solution according to the requests from external business units or other ICT groups; you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and enthusiastic team for Domestic and International project for all the brands managed by Flutter SEA – Southern Europe & Africa assets.
  • Maintaining and improving the existing codebase, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Contributing to the stability of applications by supporting the monitoring and maintenance of production environments.
  • Responding promptly to alerts, identifying root causes, and resolving issues to minimize operational impact.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3/4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience with Integration Technologies, hands-on experience or familiarity with integration platforms and tools.
  • A solid understanding of software architecture principles, particularly in Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Proficiency in Java 17/21 and have hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Spring JDBC.
  • Experience working with message brokers such as Apache ActiveMQ.
  • You are comfortable building and deploying containers using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Good working knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of service management tools (ServiceNow), DBMS and/or not-relational DB (MongoDB).
  • Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Attention to details, a meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy and the smooth operation of integrations.
  • Proactive and Problem-Solving Mindset, a willingness to take initiative, identify potential issues, and work towards solutions.
  • Adaptability and Learning Agility, the capacity to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving integration needs.
  • Ability to understand your stakeholders needs and be a good facilitator with negotiation skills.
  • Strong communications skills, problem solver and practical mindset, you have good standing, you are precise, flexible; you work in team and you are objectives oriented.
  • A Collaborative Spirit, a team-oriented approach and a willingness to contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Expertise in secure code development.
  • Fluency in both English and Italian, with good written and verbal communication skills.
