Job Description
Primary Requirements
Understanding of immuno-assays including antibody capture, detection with conjugates, standardisation, dilution, substrates.
Experience running SDS PAGE and Western blots.
Bioassay experience, in particular cytotoxicity/bioassay methods.
Experience and understanding of chromatography and related analytical techniques, in particular data analysis of multi-angle light scattering output.
Practical experience of conjugation methods including use of hetero-bifunctional cross linkers.
An ability to research, adapt and apply outline methods from textbooks or scientific papers as required for their work.
Practical experience of handling customer technical enquiries.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and gain cooperation across a wide range of departments and grades.
Excellent bench skills.
Secondary requirements
Understanding of production and quality processes and a quality management system such as ISO 9000(quality management)13485(medical devices) 17025(testing and calibration).
Understanding and managing stability work, including application to international standards for diagnostic and related product areas.
Familiar with Microsoft office applications, Cytiva Unicorn, Wyatt Vision Run and Astra and related instrumentation.
An appreciation of curve fitting, blanking and related data reduction.
Excellent record keeping and organisational skills.
Ability to formally present information to others.
Understanding precision and accuracy and their effects on the analytical process.
Experience writing SOPs for themselves and others to use.
Experience of molecular biology, biochemistry analytical techniques.
Experience of facing customers to provide advice and trouble-shooting information.
Qualifications

Degree in appropriate area plus 2 years minimum experience.
Preference given to candidate with relevant experience, understanding and personality over formal qualifications.
