Technology Transfer Scientist II
We are recruiting for a Technology Transfer Scientist II to join our New Product Technical Transfer Team on a fixed-term contract basis until December 2026. The role will report into the Project New Product Technology Transfer Manager.
Your new role:
As a Technology Transfer Scientist II within our New Product Technical Transfer team, you will be responsible for the execution of the process transfer and launch implementation activities associated with the introduction of new products using the Product Delivery Process. You will balance the needs of the key customer base within operations and R&D and ensure the timely introduction of the new product against the key milestones to meet product launch dates.
What you’ll be doing:
- Translation of development formulations into manufacturing documentation to support process transfer activities with a thorough understanding of UK operational needs and ability to translate these needs and influence process design.
- Responsible for representing UK operations within cross functional new product development project teams during all phases of the PDS-ADP system Conducting scientific lab operations. Lab work will include the competent use of lab equipment such as pipettes, balances and where trained, the use of other analytical instruments and QuidelOrtho end-user equipment. Ensuring compliance to all relevant GLP, GDP and EHS standards.
- Interface between the product development team and operational value centres and soliciting operational feedback on proposals generated within the project team.
- Responsible for updating plans and identifying corrective actions to resolve schedule conflicts to meet project agreed deliverables.
- Responsible for leading cross functional Plant team meetings.
- Execution of operational launch implementation activities including co-ordination of the completion of the Device Master record (DMR) and generation of change control documentation.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Ideally Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar scientific discipline OR a minimum of A level and equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline with proven experience in product transfer, Operations or Product Development.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver against project timelines.
- Track record of contributing to cross-functional teams within a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well and understand when to escalate project risk.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools or similar change control systems.
- Ability to independently generate and executes plans to meet overall project schedule.
