The Role:

• This position is part of the APS QA Lab in Kulim.
• The individual will act as a subject matter expert in CRDS systems, APIMS, and TD-GC-MS for gas purity analysis.
• Responsibilities include supporting quality processes through sample preparation, test execution, and generating reports for both internal and external customers.
• The role requires close collaboration with other departments, as effective communication is critical to success.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as a Scientist in the APS QA Lab.
• Perform ultra-high purity (UHP) analytical testing using established methods.
• Calibrate and maintain scientific instruments and laboratory equipment.
• Communicate results through clear written reports and oral presentations.
• Apply scientific principles, theories, and concepts effectively to assigned projects.
• Manage multiple laboratory responsibilities efficiently.
• Relocate sampling lines at various heights throughout the building for internal product testing, which may require ladder use.
• Contribute to site Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of general laboratory or material quality experience.
• Prior experience with analytical equipment is preferred but not required.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Basic knowledge of ultra-high purity (UHP) cleaning and handling techniques.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with basic hand tool usage.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during test setup.
• Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders for test setup activities.
