Position Summary:

Are you a highly motivated and driven researcher who wants to contribute to developing products for sustainable agriculture? We are seeking a determined, impact-driven, full-time Formulations Scientist with an eagerness for innovation to join the Delivery and Transformation team. The successful candidate will be highly organized and comfortable working as an integral member of a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, record-keeping, and teamwork skills will be critical. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, testing, and optimizing RNA formulations
• Developing formulation strategies to improve ingredient stability and shelf life
• Developing and implementing assays for evaluating functionality, targeting efficiency, and potency of delivery modalities
• Performing analytical formulation characterization and stability studies
• Presenting scientific findings in cross-functional project team meetings, writing protocols and reports, and documenting results in electronic laboratory notebooks
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to research associates
• Contributing to a dynamic, exciting culture that embraces teamwork and innovation

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomaterials Science, or a related discipline or an MS in one of these fields and 8+ years of professional laboratory experience
• Demonstrated competency in formulation technology with a proven track record of product development, preferably in agriculture
• Experience formulating and delivering RNA-based molecules or products
• Advanced knowledge of encapsulation technologies
• Strong background in developing diverse agricultural formulations
• Hands-on experience operating analytical instruments to characterize formulations
• Knowledge and experience with scaling up agricultural formulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with a diverse interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrated organizational and record-keeping skills
