Yashraj Biotech is seeking a highly motivated Scientist with 4–5 years of industrial experience in antibody bioconjugation, immunoassay development, and diagnostic reagent development. The candidate will work in the development and optimization of antibody-latex conjugates for immunoturbidimetric assays while collaborating with multidisciplinary R&D and Quality teams to deliver robust diagnostic products.

Key Responsibilities
    • Design, execute, and optimize antibody purification, characterization, and bioconjugation workflows.
    • Develop EDC/NHS-based covalent conjugation strategies for latex and nanoparticle-based diagnostic reagents.
    • Optimize antibody loading, blocking conditions, coupling chemistry, and conjugate stability.
    • Develop and optimize immunoturbidimetric assays (ITA)
    • Design and execute DOE-based optimization studies for conjugation efficiency and assay performance.
    • Evaluate analytical performance including sensitivity, specificity, linearity, precision, dynamic range, and robustness.
    • Troubleshoot conjugation, assay performance, and reagent stability issues.
    • Maintain accurate experimental documentation, SOPs, technical reports, and development records in compliance with GLP.
    • Mentor junior scientists, trainees, and interns in laboratory techniques and experimental planning.
    • Participate in technology transfer activities and support manufacturing scale-up of developed reagents.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with Polyclonal and Monoclonal Antibody R&D teams for antibody selection and characterization.
    • Work closely with Quality Control (QC) during analytical validation and product performance evaluation.
    • Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure compliance with documentation, change control, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support Manufacturing in process optimization and troubleshooting during scale-up.
    • Participate in product development meetings, technical reviews, and root-cause investigations.
    • Contribute to continuous process improvement and new technology implementation.

Required Technical Skills
Antibody & Protein Sciences
    • Strong understanding of monoclonal, polyclonal, artificial polyclonal antibodies.
    • Knowledge of antibody structure, affinity, avidity, stability, and antigen-antibody interaction kinetics.
    • Experience handling native and recombinant antigens and antibodies.
    • Hands-on experience in antibody purification using ammonium sulphate precipitation, dialysis, ultrafiltration, and related techniques.
    • Understanding of protein stability and conjugate characterization.
Bioconjugation
    • Hands-on industrial experience in EDC/NHS chemistry, Maleimide–Thiol Chemistry, Glutaraldehyde Coupling
    • Expertise in antibody immobilization onto latex beads ,  nanoparticles
    • Understanding of surface chemistry, functional group activation, antibody orientation, and conjugation efficiency
    • Experience in optimization of conjugation parameters for improved assay performance
Latex/Nanoparticle Diagnostics
    • Experience developing latex-based diagnostic reagents.
    • Understanding of particle size selection, surface modification, colloidal stability, blocking strategies, and storage stability.
    • Knowledge of reagent formulation and long-term stability assessment.
Immunoassays
    • Hands-on experience with Immunoturbidimetric Assays (ITA)
    • Working knowledge of ELISA and CLIA platforms
    • Experience in assay optimization, calibration curve generation, cut-off determination, and analytical validation

Analytical Techniques
Experience with:
    • Immunoturbidometry
    • UV-Visible Spectrophotometry
    • Downstream processing of polyclonal antibodies
    • Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
    • Zeta potential analyser
    • Dialysis and ultrafiltration
    • Statistical analysis of assay performance
Laboratory Practices
    • Excellent laboratory skills including precision pipetting and sample handling.
    • Experience working under GLP/GMP environments.
    • Knowledge of laboratory safety, contamination control, and documentation practices.
