 Do you want to work in a scientific software company, supporting biopharma companies in their digitalization efforts and shaping software solutions to advance their R&D? Are you a scientist who likes solving challenges in optimizing laboratory workflows & advancing data analytics? Are you experienced with applying chromatography in biotherapeutics R&D (e.g. in downstream processing, protein purification, developability assessment, analytical development)? Then read on!

We are currently seeking a Scientific Consultant for Genedata Chromatics, our new enterprise platform for chromatography data analysis, who will be responsible for promoting, explaining, showcasing and fitting Chromatics to our biopharma customers, supporting them in their work, shaping projects and the product to meet their current and future needs. 

This position is part of the Screener Business Unit located in Basel, Switzerland and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Providing software demonstrations, training, and technical support.
  • Delivering scientific consulting and professional services for customer projects (e.g. data staging, requirements consolidation, project management, implementation testing).
  • Acting as interface between our internal teams and customer’s teams (including scientific and IT partners).
  • Applying your domain expertise in chromatography to map and explain current software functionalities to customer workflows and define new software functionalities.
  • Supporting the marketing team with messaging & generation of material.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD degree in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess development or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on chromatography experience, including data analysis, in biotherapeutics discovery (e.g, protein purification, developability assessment downstream processing, analytical development).
  • Experience with instrument software platforms like Chromeleon, Empower, Unicorn, OpenLab.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – This position requires 20% travel within Europe and 10% intercontinental travel.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Biopharma, Biotechnology or Chromatography instrument industry.
  • Familiarity with UNIX systems is advantageous.
