Business area introduction
Global Transaction Banking sits in SCIB and is primarily responsible for transaction origination for Cash Management and Basic Lending products, Export Solutions, and Working Capital Solutions. GTB business covers a diverse client perimeter including Banking & Corporate Finance (BCF), Multinationals and Financial Institutions
Cash Management provides treasury solutions to corporates to effectively manage their accounts, payments, collections, and liquidity.
Key activities
- Provide support to the Cash Sales team in origination for the Cash Management products globally.
- Accumulate in depth analysis of industry, risk, technology and funding issues impacting the treasury, finance, procurement and risk departments of Santander’s corporate client base.
- Support key growth initiatives and strategic conversations with the Treasurer/CFO.
- Undertake research into client’s performance to identify opportunities and solutions.
- In depth analysis of Corporates to gather intelligence that supports our strategic conversation with the Treasurer/CFO.
- Support the team with RFI / RFP responses and deck building.
- Drive revenue management, including billing setup and data analysis.
- Manage the preparation of presentation and marketing resources.
- Work with Head of Cash Management on strategy, reporting, project management & presentations to senior management.
- Support cross-sell between teams within the bank, not just within GTB.
- Build a strong network within Global Transaction Banking globally to support Santander’s clients.
- Participate in client meetings, ensuring follow-up on meeting notes / call reports to support delivery of new opportunities and revenue.
- Manage calculations and balance sheet approval process for overdrafts and other cash management credit lines
- Ensure a proactive approach to training & personal development, leveraging the tools & support available
- Ability to work effectively in a team, including communication, cooperation, and contribution to team goals
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of Cash Management Products, the industry and key market trend
- Sound knowledge and interpretation of financial reports and accounting standards
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills necessary.
- Clear interpersonal skills

This role is based in our Triton Square office in London, conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.
