Analyst Job Description
You will work as a generalist across the team’s portfolio management and strategy/client activities, supporting the construction, implementation and management of multi-asset private markets portfolios alongside client engagement, business development and broader operational and strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Support the design, implementation, capital planning and allocation decisions of multi-asset private markets portfolios
Support the development of strategic asset allocations and portfolio construction frameworks using quantitative and qualitative analysis, incorporating client objectives, liquidity requirements, risk considerations and other constraints or preferences
Conduct portfolio analysis to support ongoing portfolio oversight, including performance monitoring and attribution, risk and liquidity analysis, rebalancing and allocation decisions
Work with internal investment teams and external managers to assess investment strategies across private market asset classes and support their implementation within portfolios
Support the preparation of investment recommendations and materials for internal investment committees and client boards
Support ongoing client relationship management, including periodic portfolio reviews, client update meetings and responses to client and consultant requests
Prepare high-quality presentations, proposals, portfolio reviews and reports for clients, consultants and internal committees
Support the preparation of proposals, due diligence materials and responses to prospective client and consultant enquiries
Contribute to market and competitor research, thought leadership, product development and other strategic initiatives across Schroders Capital Solutions
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- 2 – 3 years’ experience at a leading asset manager, consultancy, or investment bank preferred
- Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) desirable
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Understanding of private asset classes and portfolio construction principles
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office Suite and AI proficiency
