We are looking for a talented Student for our School to Work – Finance position to join our team, specializing in Finance for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.
Job Summary:
The Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems (CDBS) student who is pursuing a future in Finance or Accounting. The primary role of the Finance school-to-work is to provide administrative support to the Supply chain finance org. The student will, at the same time, gain real world experience and education in the field of Finance in a business-to-business environment.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support/assist in material and freight/inventory reporting for supply chain finance team.
Financial month-end close/forecasting assistance in report generation, and deliverable preparation.
Develop templates using Excel that reduce the time to complete day-to-day tasks and increase data accuracy.
Robust documentation of responsibilities and development of process improvement and training.
Other activities required by supervisor.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred.
Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and within teams as needed.
Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, including presentation creation.
Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organizations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Education, Licenses, Certification
Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management or related fields – as sophomore/junior/senior
