PRIMARILY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY EVENINGS 5:30pm-10:00pm
SATURDAYS 4:30pm-9:00pm

Secondary Function: You will also be put on our Houston Market List, which means you will be able to work Security as a Guard, Screener, Ticket Taker or Usher at the following venues:
- UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON SPORTING EVENTS
- RICE UNIVERSITY SPORTING EVENTS
- DAKIN FIELD (ASTROS)
- GEORGE R. BROWN CONVENTION CENTER
- VARIOUS FESTIVALS
Basic Functions:

Overall general function of officers is to provide security detail as described below (Note: duties may vary depending on post orders):
Preferred Qualifications- Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Conduct bag searches and screening at the entry gates.

Overall general function of officers is to provide security detail as described below (Note: duties may vary depending on post orders):
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
- Maintain professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
- Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS.
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position, being diligent to report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
- Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment.
- Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine.
- Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer / market.
- Communicate on a daily basis with Security Supervisor any new Security Issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented.
- A security officer is to be honest, alert and well-disciplined as the custodians of employee and customer property and safety.
- Constant and dedicated vigilance.

- Ability to be a hands-on, results oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- MUST HAVE A Valid Texas Level III ARMED Security license
- Firearms proficiency and live‑range experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs
$19 per hour

- Active Texas Level III Commissioned Armed Security License
- Own a 9mm firearm with Level 3 holster (meet employer restrictions)
- U.S. citizenship and at least 21 years of age
- Pass stringent background checks and required training
- Social Security Card
- Texas identification card or Driver's License (front and back)
- Proof of education: High School Diploma, GED, or college transcript (sealed original at background stage)
- DD-214 (if applicable)
- Pass a drug test
- Pass firearms qualifications and maintain firearms proficiency
- Three (3) years of commissioned armed security employment
- Minimum three (3) years full-time peace officer experience
- School safety officer experience and sports/event screening experience
