Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for parents, staff, students, and visitors,
providing a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. This role delivers front-desk
administrative support, ensures smooth daily operations, and plays a critical part in supporting the
School Operations Manager (SOM) with all enrollment efforts and activities. The Receptionist
helps manage enrollment documentation, assists families through the registration process, and
ensures accurate student data entry, contributing to the school’s enrollment goals and operational
success.

Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties and areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Front Desk & Administrative Support
● Greet and assist parents, students, staff, and visitors; provide accurate information as
directed by the School Principal or SOM
● Respond to parent, student, staff, and visitor inquiries and assist with problem-solving as
appropriate
● Maintain confidentiality in all matters concerning parents, students, staff, and visitors
● Communicate relevant updates and information to the SOM, School Principal, or other
appropriate staff in a timely manner
● Manage front desk coverage, handle incoming calls, monitor and order supplies, and
manage mail and deliveries for the school
● Support attendance processes by ensuring accurate and timely student attendance data
entry
Enrollment Support
● Partner with the SOM to execute all enrollment-related activities, including:
○ Assisting families with the application, registration, and recommitment processes
○ Providing step-by-step guidance to families in completing required enrollment
documentation
○ Accurately entering and updating student information in PowerSchool and other
systems
○ Scheduling and assisting with school tours, open houses, and enrollment events
○ Preparing enrollment packets, registration materials, and follow-up communications
to families
○ Tracking and following up with families to ensure completion of required documents
and forms
● Help maintain accurate enrollment records for compliance and reporting purposes
Operational Support
● Assist in maintaining school and district compliance records (both physical and digital)
● Support the development and upkeep of school schedules, calendars, and rosters
● Serve as an active member of the School Operations Team to ensure smooth daily
operations
Education/Experience
● High school diploma or equivalent required
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work on Mac or PC platforms (as applicable
to location)
● Experience in database management preferred, especially with student information
systems (e.g., PowerSchool)
● Prior administrative or customer service experience in a school setting is a plus
