Job Summary & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the School Age Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible  for programming and supervision of the School Age Licensed Program. The Site Coordinator will plan and Implement a program of activities which will ensure each child's personal safety while providing entertainment, Physical challenges, and learning experiences. The Site Coordinator is responsible for all billing and timely collection of payments. The Site Coordinator will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and the regulating agency. S/He will display and encourage the charter traits of caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties, as well as perform the following job functions.     

Preferred Qualifications

- Minimum of 20 years of age 

- B.S or B.A with 9 months experience with school age children, or High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year working with school age. 

- CPR/AED and first aid certifications required 

-Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months  

-Negative Mantoux TB text and immunity of measles, mumps, and rubella 

-Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary

-Hours Monday- Friday 7:00 am-9:00 am. 3:00pm-6:00pm. With monthly full staff meeting at 6:30pm- 8:30pm and by weekly site coordinator meetings. As well as office hours once a week for a hour.

-Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities 

-Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs on occasion and 40 labs Frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours 

-Ability to thoroughly understand Y-USA'S three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility; Proven ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker. 



Skills Required

  • Minimum of 20 years of age

  • CPR/AED and first aid certifications
  • Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months

  • Ability to lift/move heavy equipment; lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs frequently; sit, stand, bend, and move intermittently during work hours
  • Willingness to sometimes work early mornings, late nights, and weekends
  • Strong oral communication skills and ability for occasional public speaking
  • Ability to understand Y-USA's focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, Social Responsibility, and meet health-seeker needs
