We’re currently seeking a School Aged Group Leader to join our passionate team at our Bellingham location. This vital role supports multiple classrooms, offering flexibility and variety while ensuring consistency in high-quality childcare.

What We're Looking For
- 18 years or older with a minimum of 6 months experience in education required
- EEC Teacher Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience preferred, not required
- Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting preferred
- An engaging and energetic demeanor and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goals
A Few Requirements
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility to work afternoons until 5:00 pm
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise a group of school-age children during our afternoon program
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, games, STEM, outdoor play, and group projects
- Support children with homework, reading, and other school-related activities when needed
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families
- Encourage cooperation, independence, problem-solving, and positive social interactions
- Maintain consistent routines, expectations, and classroom structure
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management strategies
- Supervise children closely and maintain active awareness of their safety and well-being
- Communicate effectively with families and members of the teaching team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
- Follow all health, safety, licensing, and center policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team and other educators to provide a high-quality experience for every child

Skills Required
