The Scholarship Specialist supports the implementation of the grant funded Quality First Scholarships Program by assisting participating childcare providers and families across the State of Arizona. The Specialist works closely with internal teams and providers to ensure monthly reports are accurate, complete, compliant with program requirements, and submitted by established deadlines.  The role provides a high level of customer service by responding to inquiries M/F 8-5 related to scholarship participation, reimbursement reporting requirements, and grant program compliance.

  

Essential Functions

· Assist with contracting and onboarding eligible childcare participants ensuring they are knowledgeable of enrollment, reporting, and compliance requirements.

· Compose, design, and curate comprehensive training materials and deliver engaging, informative presentations via effective public speaking to diverse audiences. 

· Review and verify monthly financial reports for accuracy, cross-checking with reporting services and cross-referencing documentation provided by childcare participants to ensure program compliance requirements for reimbursement accuracy

· Provide excellent customer service to childcare participants and families requesting information to include Spanish speaking participants.

· Work closely and support cross-functional team to ensure high quality service, and successful delivery of contract requirements.

· Minor travel and evening hours to assist with training.

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  

A combination of education or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

· High school diploma.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft with Microsoft Excel, Zoom and Outlook. 

· At least one (1) years of experience in customer service, accounting or administration; ideal candidate has prior experience working with grants and/or educational scholarships

· Knowledge of basic tools for maintaining accounting information and financial analysis. 

· This role requires availability for business hours between 8:00am-5:00 pm via phone, Zoom and email

· Preferred bilingual
