Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Support Manager, the Scheduling Expeditor will generate, update and maintain the production schedule for the sub assembly and final assembly operations of our company products. The individual will work closely with Sales, Document Control, and Materials Departments to ensure that the schedule supports the production requirements in the most efficient manner. Oversee the orchestration and progression of production orders across all build phases, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and operational efficiency.
Job Functions:
- Review open sales orders, stock inventory levels and sales forecasts in order to generate the most efficient production schedule.
- Issues and tracks work orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, according to the production schedule.
- Coordinates with Document Control and Planning areas to ensure work orders and build documents are released in accordance with the availability of released engineering and bill of materials.
- Prepares the necessary documentation, including production build records, to be used by production personnel to implement the schedule.
- Ensures that production data is updated accurately and is reflected in the schedule in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the Operations Department Manager to ensure that the production schedule meets customer requirements.
- Make the necessary changes to the production schedule to meet the changing demand for products.
- Reviews and analyzes historical production data to determine the most efficient way to schedule production in the future.
- Will be responsible for expediting orders through different phases of production and within each department.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
- Must have and demonstrate skills with applicable software required to perform job functions including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems, SolidWorks, Altium.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills.
