Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator. We’re looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures at the level needed to perform responsibilitie
- Understand and be proficient in basic mathematical skills (division and multiplication; subtraction and addition), such as being able to calculate payer reimbursement and determine the patient’s financial responsibility (the amount due; their out-of-pocket expenses).
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and organizes all appointment schedules. Coordinates pre-admit paperwork for all outpatient appointments including pre-surg, to expedite patient flow resulting in better customer service. Pre-registers patients, verifies patients’ insurance and determines patients’ financial responsibility (out-of-pocket costs). Responsibilities include educating patients about their insurance coverage and asking for payment.
