Working in Production Control, the Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the flow of materials and product from raw components through shipping to the customer. You will coordinate scheduling, expediting, and interacting with other departments to receive and share information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to optimize production to meet customer and business needs.
- Process MDR's and DMR's to ensure continuous product flow.
- Use MAPICs to perform transactions, perform cycle counts, and split lots, as needed.
- Partner with Planners to understand current and projected issues and recommend solutions.
- Offload pending jobs from work areas to reduce bottlenecking and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain proficiency and understanding of the responsibilities for material handling, cribs, shipping and receiving.
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing areas, capabilities and production control.
- Able to read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures.
- Able to maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections.
- Experience using MAPICs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Office - especially with Word and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma of GED.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in manufacturing, with a minimum of two (2) years production planning or scheduling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to perform duties that include standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting carrying, pushing and pulling.
- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time as necessary.
- Physical able to lift up to 40 lbs.
