Scheduler - Full Time

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as main resource to physician for surgery scheduling
- Answer phone calls, emails, confirming appointments, greeting patients and prospective patients in all interaction.
- Schedule patient for procedure
- Liaise and coordinate with healthcare professionals about schedules, patients and any changes to schedules
- Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
- Responsible for Answering scheduling main line and transferring, taking messages and helping patients accordingly and resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
- Ensure all incoming orders have demographics, insurance, authorization information and all other pertinent information and communicate with referring provider office for needed or missing information.
- Verify insurance eligibility for both medial insurance for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or by contacting the carriers directly.
- Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems.
- Review patient deductibles and/or copays and enter the billing system and spreadsheets provided to the front-end department at all locations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous scheduling and medical office experience preferred
- Basic word processing, order entry, spreadsheets
- Must meet all Employee Health requirements
